A Higher Power

Are you like me when it comes to the phrase “A Higher Power”?

What really comes to your mind when YOU hear this phase?

Do you think about a large brain that stands alone like the wizard in OZ? Is there a man in a white robe sitting on a throne looking down at little old you?

Perhaps you feel your thinking and imagination IS enlighten and you have embraced the fact that everything is “Energy”.  According to the first law of thermodynamics, also known as Law of Conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. So, do you believe that we are energy?

Do you picture this “Higher Power” as an invisible force that silently keeps all things in orbit and regulates the entire the universe? Whatever works for you is okay with me.

The reason I ask this question is that I hear so many people using this phase lately. It is my observation that people use this phase “A Higher Power” When they are either referring to what some call God, or the Universe. People realize that just a mere man cannot cause the earth to rotate on its axis. We realize that there definitely is an infinite intelligence that has this universe working with precision.

I have also heard this phrase “A Higher Power” used by people who feel that the word God has been so misused and abused. Then there is the church/ religion, in  their attempt to make us believe that God is truly love they have somehow managed to make him a dictator, a jealous petty divine entity and a force that loves you, but will send your ass to a burning hell if you are not obedient to him.

Well lets us explore this phrase of “A Higher Power” a little more. This is not about being right or wrong but about conversation and thoughts. To be Cont’d.
